The following list contains details on the fees and charges levied for reproductions from the William Salt Library

Reproductions are also available from the Staffordshire Views Collection. There is a separate list of fees available for this service.

1    Reproduction Facility Fees

Publications in Hard Copy

Single item (not exceeding 5 pp)	£25 (min)	£100 (max)*
Two items	£35 (min)	£120 (max)*
Three items	£45 (min)	£140 (max)*
Each subsequent item	£10 (min)	£30 (max)*

* Determined on the length of the print run : 500-5,000

For multiple commercial publications: notelets, postcards, greetings cards, dustjackets, calendars, publicity leaflets etc

Print run up to 2,000	£60
Print run up to 3,000	£70
Print run up to 4,000	£80

Commercial Film/Video Use

Regional TV, film or video	£60 per item + staff time & travel expenses
UK Network TV	£80 per item + staff time & travel expenses
UK and Overseas TV	£150 per item + staff time & travel expenses

Photographs

For commercial exhibition use

Photographs taken of the Library's holdings for the purposes of commercial display, exhibition or presentation are subject to reproduction fees.  Fees will be charged as follows

Single item	£30
Two items	£40
Three items	£50
Four items	£60
Five items	£70

 

2    Facility/Handling Fees

Photography for Private Use

Facility fee for photographs taken for private use is £1.00 per image, excluding Staffordshire Views

Microfilming/Commercial Photography of Documents

Per order           £20
The Trustees reserve the right to increase the charge for dealing with complex photography orders.

Use of interior of Library Building

Regional TV, film or video	By negotiation
UK Network TV	By negotiation
UK & Overseas TV	By negotiation

Exhibitions

Loan of items for exhibitions - by negiotiation

These fees will take into account the actual costs of:

• staff time incurred in obtaining valuations for insurance purposes
• the preparation of individual loan agreements
• obtaining export licenses for exhibitions and preparing conservation reports
• negotiatinmg with carriers
• any required conservation work and/or security photography

Permissions to publish

The Trustees reserve the right to charge an adminstration fee of £5 for handling requests for permissions to publish items from privately owned collections
