We are committed to opening up our collections to the family historian and have a well-established volunteer programme to help us to do this.

Our website, Staffordshire Name Indexes, launched in July 2009, holds the following searchable indexes :

• Calendar of Prisoners, Staffordshire Quarter Sessions, 1777-1880
• Staffordshire Police Force Registers, 1842-1920
• Diocese of Lichfield and Coventry Wills, 1650-1700
• Staffordshire Apprentices, 1600-1900
