Talks, Exhibitions and Events
An important part of the role of the Archive Service is to raise awareness of Staffordshire's archival heritage. To do this and to illustrate the range of subjects for which archives can be used, the Archive Service offers a wide variety of talks to local historical and civic societies and other groups. It is also possible for groups to make visits to the Staffordshire Record Office, Lichfield Record Office and the William Salt Library
The Archive Service also runs Events throughout Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent. We are already booking for a variety of family and local history events in early 2008.
We are also developing online talks & exhibitions, the most recent of which is Distinctive Staffordshire, part of our celebration of our 60th anniversary in 2007.
You also have the chance to get involved with the Voices from the Edge Community History Project in Audley, Alstonefield and Tutbury.
