It is a lovely thing in itself, and could be emulated by any older child or adult with enough patience. It is also clear enough to show streets still identifiable today and no doubt individual buildings.
The immediacy and accessibility of this document make it a piece of art as well as an historical artefact.
The extract shown below is about one-third of the whole, covering the parish church and the streets in the very centre of the town and giving the names of the owners or occupiers of the various properties.
