Anglican Parish Registers

Duplicate microfiche of registers of baptisms, marriages and burials for the vast majority of Staffordshire parishes, from 1536 to c.1925 (also available at Staffordshire Record Office).

Bishops Transcripts

Contemporary copies of the registers of parishes in the present diocese of Lichfield, c1660 to c1880, with north and east Warwickshire parishes to c1840 and Derbyshire parishes to c1860.

Marriage Bonds and Allegations

Applications for marriage licences filed in the consistory and peculiar courts, 1660 onwards.

Nonconformist registers

Registers of baptisms and marriages for some nonconformist churches in the city and in the Tamworth and Lichfield Methodist Circuit. Some registers available on microfiche only.

Wills, Inventories and Probate papers

Wills proved in the Consistory Court of Lichfield and in the peculiar courts, c1520-1858, with related inventories and probate papers.
