Adult Education Tutors

We offer familiarisation visits for adult education classes led by one of our archivists.

The visit usually includes the following elements :

• A brief introduction to the functions and organisation of the Archive Service
• A guide to the range and variety of archival resources held by the Archive Service
• An introduction to the reading room of the record office concerned, explaining how to use the online catalogue, and the paper catalogues and indexes, and how to locate other resources
• An opportunity to look at a display of documents relevant to your course
