We are pleased that you are interested in work experience within Children & Lifelong Learning.

This directorate is the largest within the County Council. It is responsible for ensuring that children and young people are healthy and safe in order that they are able to enjoy, achieve and make a positive contribution to the communities in which they live.  The directorate is made up of 10 Divisions working together in the belief that everybody has the right to develop their potential and talents by access to learning, information, culture and heritage. We employ a variety of people from catering staff, youth workers, social workers, education psychologists, welfare officers, school inspectors, architects, surveyors, residential workers, archivists, librarians to name just a few!
