Welcome to everyone interested in working in Adults Services.
We are seeking talented staff to provide innovative and proactive services to our citizens, helping us to deliver our Staffordshire Cares vision of Independence, Inclusion and Well-being for citizens of Staffordshire.
We are proud of the Care Quality Commission's annual assessment for 2010 which found that the county council is going from strength to strength in adult social care.
Staffordshire County Councillor Matthew Ellis, Cabinet member for Adults and Wellbeing, said: "Staffordshire is leading the way in adult social care services and this assessment shows just how far we have come in the last year. However, we will not be complacent and will continue to strive to provide the best possible care for the residents of Staffordshire.
"As a county we have taken some bold moves in order to transform and revolutionise the care we offer to residents. I want to give people the power to choose the care they receive, to broaden their choices and help them to maintain their independence for as long as they can. This is about giving people the freedom to shape their own lives and futures."

Our service users and carers are at the heart of everything we do and our staff are crucial to providing an excellent service to some of the most vulnerable people in our communities. We know that to provide an excellent service in a large county with a diverse population, we must ensure our staff are well trained, well supervised and well supported.
We are striving to meet the challenges of 'Putting People First' and have strong partnerships in place with Health and Housing Services, and the voluntary sector. Improving social care is a priority for the council and we are strongly supported by the corporate management team, cabinet members and partner agencies. We have embarked down a road of significant change and these are exciting times as we empower our staff and managers to deliver the services that people want.
Our dedicated staff have developed many innovative services and some of these services have received regional and national recognition.
I believe that with the continued recruitment of staff with the commitment and passion to face the exciting challenges ahead, we are in an excellent position to achieve our aim of better outcomes for our communities.
