Open Door Staffordshire Pledge

Staffordshire County Council has committed to the 'Open Door Staffordshire Pledge'

Open Door Staffordshire Pledge

This agreement signs us up to a framework of principles to tackle the effects of unemployment and to support disadvantaged job seekers back into fulltime work.

The agreement takes account of the challenges identified through:

  • The Skills Pledge
  • The Public Sector Skills Challenge (Issued by WM MP Liam Byrne)
  • The Local Employment Partnership (LEP) signed by Staffordshire County Council and JCP
  • The Staffordshire Drug & Alcohol Concordat

Our objective will be to support work that:

  • Impacts positively on the lives of children, young people and families.
  • Helps individuals move from welfare to sustained employment.
  • Encourages skills development and career progression.
  • Benefits communities and makes them better places to live and work.

We recognise that securing the right outcomes for individuals and communities can only come through us working together.
