Substance Misuse in Staffordshire: The Extent of Harm Caused by Illegal Drug and Alcohol Misuse

Staffordshire County Council has led on the production of a research report which examines the extent of harm caused by illegal drugs and alcohol in Staffordshire.

The misuse of alcohol and drugs affects individuals, families, communities and the economy. The purpose of the research was to provide an understanding of the extent of harm caused by drugs and alcohol misuse in Staffordshire. This is the first-ever report produced for Staffordshire which comprehensively addresses the issues of illegal drug and alcohol misuse in terms of community safety and health, along with identifying the existing treatment services and resources available to combat the problem.
