Changing Places Toilets
Many people with disabilities cannot use standard accessible toilets. They may need support from one or two carers to use the toilet or to have their continence pad changed. Standard accessible toilets do not provide changing benches or hoists and most are too small to accommodate more than one person.
Changing Places toilets help enable parents, carers and people with disabilities to go out in the community and know they have access to toilets which are suitable for their needs.
A Changing Places Toilet facility is now available in the new Staffordshire Place 1 building in the centre of Stafford, this is available to the public when the building is open Monday – Friday 8.00am – 6.00pm. For information on this and other Changing Places toilets in Staffordshire and surrounding areas you can visit the Changing Places website|.
