Aiming High Participation Worker - Amy Duddy
Amy Duddy is the Participation Worker for Aiming High. Amy will be consulting with disabled children and young people to gather their views on current services and future service needs. She will also be evaluating Aiming High funded services with disabled children and young people.
'I have recently moved from the Children with Disabilities Team in Surrey and joined Staffordshire County Council's Children's Voice Project which is based in Stafford but covers the whole county. My role is to ensure children and young people are able to voice their feelings, comments and views on the services they receive and access through Aiming High funding. I am looking forward to visiting the activities and meeting the children and young people who take part in them.
If you wish to contact me please feel free to call me on 01785 253878 or email cvp@staffordshire.gov.uk|||
Many thanks,
Amy Duddy.'
Parent Participation Service
Are you a parent or carer of a disabled child or a child who has learning difficulties? A new service has been set up in Staffordshire offering a number of ways for parents to make a difference to the service their families receive.
There are two ways to get involved:
-
E Forum
A brand new website where parents and carers can share views, influence decisions, make new friends and find out about events and services. Please visit www.span-info.co.uk to find out more.
-
Staffordshire Parent Action Network (SPAN)
Parent and carer representatives meet monthly to take forward ideas and opinions collected from parents and carers around the county and from the E forum discussion pages and pass them to the Aiming High Board . SPAN also feedback useful information to parents and carers through their links with the Aiming High Board and other parent and carer support groups in the area.
For more details, please visit the SPAN website at www.span-info.co.uk| or contact the Parent Participation and Engagement Service on 01785 356919 or email spps@staffordshire.gov.uk|
