At the end of 2010, the Aiming High Team devised a questionnaire to gain the views of parents and carers of disabled children and young people on services funded by Aiming High in Staffordshire.  Thank you to everyone who took part in the questionnaire.  Feedback from the questionnaires can be found in the 'Tell Us What You Think' report below:

Here are some more comments we have received from parents and carers on Aiming High funded services:

  • 'I think it is excellent that the children can go on trips on their own.  It gives them great independence.  They had a fantastic time.'
  • 'T gets to socialise with other children with similar needs to him.  He has become more independent when handling money, paying for goods and choosing snacks.  It gives us a bit more time to ourselves so we can go food shopping, which is hard work when T is with us.'
  • 'It has provided invaluable time to spend with my other daughter P, as well as having time out for myself.'
  • 'Was a great day, kids loved swimming and the entertainer after.'
  • 'After school provision on Monday is invaluable and very much appreciated.  K enjoys this very much.  The physical activities are of great benefit to K and meet his needs well.'
  • 'R has grown in confidence having time away from his parents.  He has made friends and learned social skills.  He misses his one to one but really enjoys group activities.  His dad and I have enjoyed our time too!'
  • 'It has given me time with my other two children, H is very close to her carer and feels that she can tell her anything.  I have had a break from H and a lot of support from both H's carer and Action for Children.'
