Electronic home care monitoring
Changing the way home visits are recorded
We are changing the way that home visits by care workers are recorded, but don't worry the service to you will stay the same.
The new system is called 'electronic home care monitoring' and it will mean that you will no longer need to sign your care worker's timesheet.
What will happen when a care worker visits?
The care worker will call a free number from your phone to let us know they have arrived. Don't worry there won't be any charge to your phone bill.
When your care worker leaves, they will make another call. Both calls will only take a few seconds, and the care worker will not need to speak.
These calls will allow us to record the time they spend helping you.
How will it help me?
The new system will bring you greater security and peace of mind. It will allow your home care provider to:
-
check whether or not your care worker has arrived on time.
-
calculate accurately how much time a carer spends with you.
This will help to ensure you get the service you need, and that any charges will be more accurate.
There is no additional charge for this service.
