Local Involvement Network (LINk)
At some point we all need help and support from health services or social care. However many people worry that the services that they need will not be available when or where they need them. If you feel concerned about this then who can you turn to, to ensure your voice is heard?
By getting involved with LINk everyone has the opportunity to have their voice heard, to help shape the services and to ensure that the providers of services such as doctors, social workers and dentists know what Staffordshire residents need and expect!
Staffordshire LINk is an independent network, made up of local people and groups whose aim is to give people more say in how local health and social care services are planned and delivered. Although they do not look at individual complaints, they can signpost people, instead providing a vital communications link between the people providing services and those who use them.
But they need people to get involved and tell them the issues. Particularly at this time of change across social care services and the NHS, your views have never been more important! Getting involved could vary from spending an a small amount of time to joining one of the working groups and getting involved in visiting locations and services on offer.
If you want to get involved in making a difference to the way services are run then you can visit the LINk website|| or call 01785 887990. You can also download a copy of their
annual report|| (9.6mb).
