How much will services cost?

In November 2001 and February 2002, the government issued statutory guidance to local authorities which said that, from 1st October 2002 we could no longer charge fixed or flat rate charges for non-residential services, unless they are to pay for meals.

Based on the governments suggested way of calculating the charges for non-residential services, our charging policy is described on our Services at home and in the community page.

By law, we must also ask everyone to pay towards the cost of their stay in a home, even if we are providing financial support.  The amount we will ask you to pay depends on the type of care you need.  Detailed information is on our Residential Services page.
