Employment and Support Allowance - Income Related - (entitlement decided by comparing assessed income to a prescribed amount made up of personal allowances and premiums)

Personal Allowance

Single Person

Under 25 (assessment phase - £51.85

Under 25 (main phase) - £65.45

25 and over - £65.45

Lone Parent

Under 18 (assessment phase) - £51.85

Under 18 (main phase) - £65.45

18 or over - £65.45

Couple

Both 18 and over - £102.75

One or both under 18 (Seek advice for rate that applies)

Components          

Support - £31.40

Work related activity - £25.95

Premiums

Carer (if qualifies for Carers Allowance (CA) - £30.05

Severe disability (if getting DLA mid/high -£53.65 (one qualifies)

Care or AA and treated as living alone - £107.30 (for couples and no-one gets actual CA for them where both qualify)

Enhanced Disability

(if getting DLA Care High or in support group) - £13.65 (single) £19.65 (couple)
