Additional Amounts

Severe Disability addition

If getting DLA mid/high care, treated as living alone, no-one gets AA for them living alone, no-one gets CA for them) - £55.30 for each qualifying person

Carer addition

If qualifies for Carers Allowance -   £31.40

Pension Credit - Savings Credit

Gives some people aged 65 an award for building up retirement income.

Single Person - £20.52

Couple - £27.09

Retirement Pension

Basic pension - £102.15

Married woman - £61.20

Spouse or adult dependent - £61.20

Over 80 years - £61.20

Income Support

Savings threshold (over which a person cannot claim) - £16,000

Savings threshold for a person in residential care - £12,000 to £16,000
