Our work programmes to prepare our Core Strategies are formally known as the Minerals and Waste Development Scheme (MWDS).
We initially intended to develop our Minerals Core Strategy||| and Waste Core Strategy||| in tandem. In 2009 the Planning Committee accepted the need to give priority to the preparation of the Waste Core Strategy.

Further work on the strategy is currently on hold as priority is being given to the Waste Core Strategy. It is anticipated that work on the strategy will re-start when the Waste Core Strategy has been adopted.
