Estates and Valuation are responsible for Estate Management of the county property portfolio and the provision of development advice.

  • Acquisition and disposal of land and buildings.
  • Management of tenanted property excluding industrial units.
  • Granting and taking of leases, licences and easements.
  • Valuations of County Council property including rating, insurance and asset valuations.

Strategic Planning Advice

Strategic Planning Advice's principle role is to prepare and submit all planning applications made by the County Council in respect of its own operational development and in respect of land which is to be sold for development.  This involves extensive preparation of supporting material such as transport assessments, planning statements and also consultation with outside organisations such as District Councils, the Highways Agency and Sport England.
