Design, Maintenance and Construction

Design, Maintenance and Construction has responsibilities in two main areas of the management and development of the County Council's property asset: -

  • Revenue and Occupancy
  • Capital Development - Project Delivery (Construction)

Revenue and Occupancy

  • Monitoring of energy and water consumption/use, energy and water supply contracts
  • Landlord role contributing to, and towards the on-going health and safety of building occupants and protection of the County's property asset and the property assets of outside agencies including Police including statutory and regulatory servicing, testing of fixed mechanical and electrical installation in buildings and special needs including implementing risk management strategies relating to asbestos, water hygiene, fire precautions etc
  • Delivery of Planned maintenance programmes, provision of a responsive repair and maintenance and emergency call-out service

Capital Development Project Delivery (Construction)

  • Delivery of Staffordshire County Council and agency/externally funded capital schemes (including schools work following receipt of commissions - modernisation /minor and major capital)

Design, Maintenance and Construction in addition to the above, is involved in various activities that contribute to corporate initiatives and achievement of objectives including Disability Discrimination Act. Click here for further information from the Access Team.
