Milford Common Trails

These three waymarked trails commence from Milford Common on the northern edge of Cannock Chase Country Park|||||. The area of Milford Common was included in the 2120 acres of unenclosed land gifted by Lord Lichfield to Staffordshire County Council.

There are three trails, each approximately two miles long. Each walk will take approximately two hours to complete. The Red Trail starts at the Heart of England Way|||||, a long distance path linking the Staffordshire Way||||| with the Cotswold Way||||| 100 miles away. The Green Trail takes you to the high ground of Oat Hill on the Chase, back to Milford Common via the Punchbowl car park. The Blue Trail can be walked together with the Red or Green Trails to give a longer walk that takes in the ancient woodland of Brocton Coppice and the old Tackeroo Railway.
