Hanchurch Hills Walks

Situated in the Parish of Swynnerton, the three Hanchurch Hills Walks offer a variety of scenery, from rolling pastures and arable fields, to commercial conifer plantations. All the walks start from Hanchurch Hills Picnic Area|||||.

The Green Walk, at three and a half miles in length, will take approximately one and a half hours to complete. This walk covers a variety of wooded and pastoral landscapes, mainly focusing on the village of Hanchurch.

The Red Walk, at two miles in length, will take approximately forty-five minutes to complete, (although it can be extended with the Blue Walk). The route climbs the high ground of Harley Thorns woodland and offers views of the Wrekin and Cannock Chase.

The Blue Walk, at seven miles in length, will take approximately two hours and fifteen minutes to complete. The walk takes you to the hamlet of Beech, with its local caves. The flowing open landscape offers views across Shropshire to the Welsh Hills.
