Property Search

Staffordshire County Council makes a charge to cover the administrative costs for the provision of Rights of Way information relating to property searches. The first property of each request incurs a fee of £7.50 with each subsequent property in the request incurring a further charge of £2.50 per property. For example a request submission for one property will cost £7.50. A request submission for five properties will incur a charge of £17.50. This administrative fee does not include the cost of producing maps. Maps will be provided where a property is directly traversed by a right of way, for no extra charge. Where a path or bridleway passes close to a property a brief description of the relevant part of the route will be incorporated in the response letter. Maps for these instances can be provided but will incur a further cost which will reflect the time taken in preparation.

Where possible a property search request must utilise this form and should be accompanied by an illustrative map or maps. Information annotated onto maps should reflect the full extent of the property concerned.

It is advised that to avoid delay, close attention should be paid to the correct spelling of search addresses and when making a request by e-mail correspondence must be sent to rowpropertysearch@staffordshire.gov.uk.

A full billing address must be included on each correspondence. Invoices for property searches will be raised on, at most, a monthly basis. If this is inconvenient please contact us to discuss alternative arrangements.  Alternatively, please send a cheque to the address below made payable to Staffordshire County Council for the full payment amount.

There is no charge for this service.  Please note that no interpretation can be offered on the Definitive Map. Single extracts are available at a cost of £2 - A4 sheet, £3 - A3 sheet and £18 for a full map sheet (1:10,000 5km x 5km).
