Froghall Wharf Walks

Froghall Wharf is some three miles north of Cheadle in North Staffordshire, within the beautiful Churnet Valley at the end of the Caldon Canal.

From here, three circular walks, varying in length from three to five miles, take you through part of the Churnet Valley, link the scenic Staffordshire Way, the 92 mile long distance footpath, the prestigious Consall Nature Park and demonstrate how nature has transformed Froghall's industrial past (with a little help from Staffordshire Council).

Follow the Red, Blue and Green waymarked trails and walk through the woods and fields which are host to a variety of wildlife. There is something of interest for everyone, from natural history, industrial archaeology, charming villages or just an excuse to work up a thirst for the country pubs along the way.
