Three Dales Project

Lymedale - a thriving and developing business park on the site of the former Holditch Colliery Lymedale
Silverdale Silverdale - the site of the last deep mine to close in North Staffordshire, now the subject of significant regeneration activity.
Apedale - once an important industrial valley involving deep and opencast coal mining, quarrying, and steel production, now the emergent Apedale Country Park. Fun at Apedale

Together the Three Dales represent a major focus and opportunity for economic, social and environmental regeneration on the western edge of the North Staffordshire conurbation. A Three Dales Co-ordination Strategy has been produced to guide;

'The practical integration of community development programmes business stewardship schemes,and heritage based tourism initiatives in order to develop a quality environment at Lymedale, Silverdale and Apedale in which to live, work, relax, educate and explore'
