Access Land Mapping
The Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000 created new rights to walk on 'access land' - generally mountain, moor, heath and down registered common land.
These areas have been identified on maps so that everyone knows where to walk.
| The west (Area 7), covers Shropshire, part of Staffordshire (excluding that part within the Peak District National Park), part of Derbyshire (excluding that part within the Peak District National Park), Herefordshire, Worcestershire, West Midlands, Warwickshire, Leicestershire, Gloucestershire (excluding south Gloucestershire), Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire and Buckinghamshire. |
