Access For All

Staffordshire County Council continually endeavours to improve access to the countryside for all. Under the Community Paths Initiative, we are working with Parish Councils and other community groups to install kissing gates in lieu of stiles to aid access for people with mobility problems.

Staffordshire increasingly offers access opportunities for all. Our Country Parks and Picnic Areas have surfaced and signed access trails. At Cannock Chase Country Park Visitor Centre, mobility scooters are available for free loan (telephone booking required), and the café has wheelchair access. We also aim to cater for the needs of young and old alike through our Guided Walks and Countryside Events.
