What we do

Minerals and Waste:

Applications - the determination of planning applications to do with minerals and waste development, for example, quarries, landfills, composting and recycling sites in Staffordshire (excluding Stoke-on-Trent)

Policy - the preparation, monitoring and review of the County Council's minerals and waste planning policies used to help determine planning applications in Staffordshire (and Stoke-on-Trent for waste development).

Regulation - the monitoring and enforcement of the planning conditions that accompany minerals and waste planning permissions granted by Staffordshire County Council, and the investigation of complaints about the operation of minerals and waste sites in Staffordshire.

County Developments:

Applications - the determination of planning applications to do with Staffordshire County Council's own developments, for example schools, social services; household waste recycling centres and new road schemes.
