National Planning Policies and Guidance are prepared by the Department for Communities and Local Government (CLG) and are used to inform the planning policies contained within local plans and policy documents prepared by local planning authorities.
Regional and Strategic Planning Policy includes the minerals and waste policies in the Regional Spatial Strategy and the Staffordshire Stoke-on-Trent Structure Plan.
Minerals planning in Staffordshire provides an outline of the existing mineral planning policies and the 'saved' Minerals Local Plan (MLP).
Waste planning in Staffordshire provides an outline of the existing waste planning policies and the 'saved' Waste Local Plan (WLP).
'Saved' policies provides the latest information about the 'direction letters' we received on 17 September 2007 from the Government Office for the West Midlands about the Structure Plan, Minerals Local Plan and Waste Local Plan policies that have been saved as part of the development plan with effect from 28 September 2007.
The Minerals & Waste Development Framework provides new mineral and waste policies and is a 'folder' or portfolio of local development documents.
