Appeals
Applicants are able to appeal to the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government under Section 78 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 against the decision or the conditions attached to a planning permission within 6 months of the date of the decision.
The Planning Inspectorate handle appeals employing independent Inspectors, who act on behalf of the Secretary of State.
To assist any person with an interest in an appeal, the Planning Inspectorate has produced two guidance notes:

'A Brief Guide for Planning Inquiries'
