Ibstock's consolidating application to enable the continuation of clay working at the Keele Quarry, near Madeley Heath. Revised information submitted in support of the application was recently received on 23 May 2008 which updates that which was originally received in 2002.

Energy from Waste Facility, Four Ashes (ref. SS.08/10/636W)
Staffordshire County Council's application for an Energy from Waste Facility off Enterprise Drive, Four Ashes was received on 23 May 2008.

The application was considered by the Planning Committee on 6 November 2008. The Committee accepted the recommendation in the report to permit the application, subject to referral to the Government Office for the West Midlands. The recommendation also required the County Council to sign a Memorandum of Understanding and fulfill further recommendations.

The Government Office for the West Midlands (GOWM) has now advised that the Secretary of State is satisfied that the application can be dealt with by Staffordshire County Council.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed on 16 April 2009 by Richard Higgs Director of Development Services and the decison notice was issued on 24 April 2009 - see opposite.
Mill Farm, Chebsey (ref. S.08/21/467 W) application for an in-vessel composting facility by Jack Moody Ltd.
