The Development and Waste Management Unit is part of the Development Services Directorate, based at Riverway, Stafford (Find us)

The Planning Development Control team and the Planning Regulation team carry out the County Council's role as Minerals and Waste Planning Authority. For more information click Staffordshire Planning Portal.

Waste Management team carry out the County Council's role as the Waste Disposal Authority.  The team manage contracts for the operation of household waste recycling centres and the contracts to manage the disposal of the household waste collected by the 8 Staffordshire District / Borough Councils (the Waste Collection Authorities).
