The County Council's Climate Change Strategy

Staffordshire County Council has formally adopted a Corporate Action Plan, 'A Hard Rain', which maps out a strategy for responding to the challenge of climate change.
It sets the ambitious target of a 80% reduction in carbon dioxide emissions from the County Council's buildings, vehicles and street lighting by 2050.

The County Council is currently refreshing 'A Hard Rain', and will be renamed to 'Green Shoots'. Various satellite documents, including an Action Plan, a Sustainable Travel Plan and a Sustainable Procurement Plan all form part of Green Shoots, and access to these documents will also be available following its publication.
The County Council has recently refreshed their climate change Adaptation Plan and risk assessment. Go to the Adaptation pages to view these adaptation documents and an accompanying severe weather report|
