UK Youth Parliament

The UK Youth Parliament gives young people of the UK aged between 11 and 18 a voice! The voice of the Youth Parliament is heard and listened to by local and national governments and other agencies who have an interest in the views and needs of young people.

Elections are held every two years to choose Staffordshire's members of the UK Youth Parliament and deputy members. The next election will take place in February 2012. All four members (MYP's)and their deputies (DMYP's)will represent Staffordshire in the West Midlands Youth Parliament, and will also sit on Staffordshire's Youth Action Kouncil (YAK), a decision making body for the county's young people. The elected members||| work hard to tackle burning issues on a local scale and a national scale.
