Catering for Primary Schools
Staffordshire Catering Service continues to develop new recipes and source quality products from reputable and, where possible, local suppliers.
Children are offered choice and variety each and every day at lunch time. Fresh potatoes, vegetables, salads, yoghurt, fruit platters and fresh milk are always available.
The new primary school menu starts on 20 May 2013. To see the Summer/Autumn 2013 menu, please visit out Primary Menu page.
In September many children and their parents are new to the busy school life they are about to begin.
Staffordshire Catering Services understand that eating at school is a whole new experience for your child. Staff are parents too, they share your concerns about children's diets, understanding fads and fancies. They encourage children to take a balanced meal and make sure no child leaves the servery with an empty plate.
Staffordshire Catering Service distribute over 10,000 parent leaflets which includes the full four week menu whenever the menu is changed. So you are kept up-to-date with all the current information on the food served at your child's school.
There is evidence to show that food eaten by young people at school affects their behaviour and ability to learn.
By committing to a regular school meal you can be sure your child is eating well at lunchtime.
In today's economic climate, a balanced 2 course meal made from quality ingredients, priced at £2.10, continues to be exceptional value for money.
