Admission to Nursery Aged Settings in September 2012
The following information refers to the allocation of places at maintained nursery settings for children who are due to start in September 2012.
I have submitted an application, when will I be notified of the outcome?
Parents will be notified by post on the 30th April. If you have not received your outcome on the 30th April please be patient it will arrive in due course.
How were nursery places allocated?
Places were allocated using the admissions criteria, details of which can be found in the Admission to Nursery Aged Settings 2012/13| booklet.
If my child has not been offered a place at one or both of my preferred settings what can I do?
If your child has not been offered a place at both of your preferred settings, or has been allocated a second preference your child will be automatically placed on a waiting list. Waiting lists will be maintained until the end of the Autumn Term 2012 and if at any point a place should become available we will be in touch. If you wish to find out your child's position on a waiting list please contact us on 01785 278593.
Your child's position on the waiting list is determined by the school admissions criteria, details of which can be found in the Admission to Nursery Aged Settings 2012/13| Booklet.
There is no right of appeal for admission to a maintained nursery.
There are a number of other settings that are privately run and also cater for nursery age children from the term after a child's third birthday. Further details of these establishments and how to apply can be obtained from the Family Information Service on 0300 111 8007.
