What happens after I have applied?

What happens next?

Be sure to check out your other options| before you apply as they may be cheaper or more convenient for you. If you are entitled to help under the Staffordshire post 16 transport scheme this is what will happen once we have received your application form|.

  • We will check you application to confirm if you are entitled and what help we can give you
  • If you aren't entitled to help, we will write to you as quickly as possible to let you know.
  • If you are entitled we will then send you a form to tell you what help we can give. Please read the form carefully to make sure the offer of help meets your needs (for example it will tell you when any bus pass issued is valid for use)
  • If you have to pay, the form will tell you what to do next and also tell you if you need to send any photographs.
  • If you don't have to pay, you will still be sent a form to fill in which will tell you if you need to send any photographs.
  • The pass is then normally sent to your school or college for you to collect.
  • It can take up to 20 working days after the second form has been returned to us to issue your pass. You will need to arrange and pay for your own travel arrangements until then.
