The small print - (terms and conditions)
1. Suitability of transport will be determined by Staffordshire County Council
2. Students using this transport scheme are expected to make their own way to the nearest pick up point up to 1 mile away from the home address or destination
3. Any travel pass issued under this scheme remains the property of Staffordshire County Council and must be returned if a student leaves school or college
4. Refunds may be made if the student does not take up the course, or withdraws from the course. The travel pass must be returned to obtain a refund. Refunds are calculated on the number of full unused months from the date of receipt of the pass in the Integrated Transport Unit office with a £10 administration charge deducted. No refunds are given in the summer term.
5. No transport assistance is available for work placement or work experience
6. It can take up to 28 days for the pass to be issued. Claims for payment of travel costs before 28 days have expired will not be accepted. No back dated claims for payment will be accepted.
7. However long your course is, it is necessary to fill out an application for transport assistance each year
8. Unacceptable behaviour such as fighting, bullying or foul language by pupils whilst using transport may result in their pass being withdrawn. Parents will be held responsible for any damage caused and may be charged for it.
9. If a student defaults on payment transport will be withdrawn. The student will also not be allowed to use that payment method the following year.
10. Transport is provided to your registered base only. Transport to other sites, placements etc is not covered by this scheme.
