Following a period of consultation, a new scheme is being introduced from September 2012 for those moving into year 12. Students who meet all the eligiblity requirements including new low income criteria, will be required to pay £380 towards their travel costs. Those who will be in year 13 and above will continue to have the old scheme applied, with the fee being waived for those on a low income and other students being required to pay a £500 contribution.
