The Governors site on the Staffordshire Learning Net provides:

• guidance for existing governors on policies and procedures
• information on training available for new or experienced governors
• a forum where governors can exchange views on current topics

You may also be interested to visit GovernorNet, the website provided by the Department for Education and Skills (DfES).  This has all the latest information from the DfES for governors, and includes a section to guide you if you are thinking about helping our schools by becoming a governor.
