Staffordshire Family Information Service: A
free information service. Find childcare in your area, understand your maternity/paternity rights, learn about free places.
Childcare: The Childcare and Early Years Unit is responsible for ensuring that the early years and childcare needs of families in Staffordshire are met. We work with children, parents and carers. As well as giving information to parents and carers, we have a range of support, training, advice and funding for childcare providers and early education services throughout Staffordshire
Staffordshire Children's Trust: Brings together all services for children and young people in the County to focus on improving outcomes for all children and young people.
Children and Family Services: Children and Family Social Work Teams provide advice, support and social work to families - parents, children and other carers. They can provide access to a range of services designed to support families under pressure and to assist parents to care for their own children.
Protection for Children: The Staffordshire Safeguarding Children Board brings together representatives of each of the main agencies and professionals responsible for helping to protect children from abuse and neglect.
Family Services Directory: A free searchable database of services, events, activities and organisations specifically for children and families.
In addition to the above there are some national websites which can also provide access to help and support:
DirectGov/parents:
A government website with a wide variety of information for parents and carers.
Parent's Centre:
A government sponsored website with information and support for parents on how to help with a child's learning; including advice on choosing a school and finding childcare.
