Financial Statements
All Local Education Authorities (LEAs) in England are required under section 251 of the Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Act 2009 to prepare and submit budget statements and outturn statements to the Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families, covering all planned and actual expenditure on education and children's social care. The government issue regulations each year which determine the content and layout of the statements.
