The School Improvement Division (SID)
- Seeks to be the champion for all learners by promoting and supporting Lifelong Learning, securing continuous improvements in standards and promoting inclusion in its widest sense.
- Ensures that the core responsibilities of the Children and Lifelong Learning Directorate in relation to monitoring, challenge, support and intervention are carried out to the highest standards.
- Works within a broad and rich definition of achievement that gives proper value to the wider work of schools and the full entitlement of pupils, SID supports schools in their continuing development as inclusive self-reviewing and self-improving institutions.
