We consider that the participation of children and young people is so important that we have a participation team dedicated to supporting this.   The 'Children's Fund Children & young People's Participation Team', working in conjunction with the Children's Commissioner, Gill Stanford, and the Youth Service's Junior Youth Work Development Team, supports organisations and groups throughout Staffordshire.

We are continuing to involve children and young people from across the county in all areas which affect their lives.

We have involved children and young people participating at different levels in activities such as:

• Interviewing staff
• Planning
• Decision making
• Helping to improve services.
• Attending cabinet meetings
• Giving us their ideas for building future schools 
• In Youth Forums where they represent other young people to make sure that their voices are heard.

We believe that by consulting children and young people about issues which affect them, we will provide them with the kind of services which they will enjoy and will benefit from.

Children and young people may send us ideas, comments and opinions to us.  by using our postcards designed by young people, or by e mailing from this site.
