Changes in Children's Fund

The Children's Fund team has changed. To carry forward the work of the Children's Fund there are two new teams.

The fundamental ethos of the Children's Fund: Prevention, Partnership, and Participation, still remain central to the work being carried out under the Children's Fund banner and is reflected in the division of responsibility between the two teams.

Service Delivery and Commissioning Team

To continue the work of developing, commissioning and performance managing preventive services, there is now a team consisting of the Children's Fund Commissioning Officer, Marie Marshall and the Lead Children's Fund
Co-ordinator, Margaret Crook; they are supported by the Children's Fund
Co-ordinator, Richard Hodgens, and the Children's Fund Clerical Assistant, Rebecca Godon. Margaret will be leading on the partnership work with the District Children's Trust Boards in developing new services and on the performance management of all services commissioned through Children's Fund. Marie as Commissioning Officer has responsibility for all contracts, including contract compliance and financial auditing. To find out more about the work that they are doing you can contact either Margaret Crook on 01785 854227 or Marie Marshall on 01785 277141.

Children and Young People's Participation Team

The work on the participation and involvement of children and young people continues with the new Participation Team. Sue Bond is the Lead Participation Co-ordinator and she is supported by Carol Goostry as the Participation Admin Assistant. They will soon be joined by a Participation Officer as recruitment to this post is due to start shortly. The Participation Team will have a county wide remit to support the participation and involvement of children and young people and are working closely with the Children's Commissioner and the Youth Services' Junior Youth Work Development Team to ensure that the voices of children and young people will be heard in the work of the Children's Trust. To find out more about the Participation Team and the work they will be doing contact Sue Bond on 01785 854064 or Carol Goostry on 01785 277146.

Jim Brady, Assistant Director Lifelong Learning and Partnerships will continue to have overall responsibility for the Children's Fund stream of the Area Based Grant.
