Staffordshire Think 2 is the name given to the pilot project that is rolling out funded childcare places for disadvantaged 2 year olds in Staffordshire. The government announced an extension of the programme so that 40% of 2 year olds will be eligible to receive funded childcare by September 2014 and in line with this the County Council will be extending their own scheme from April 2012.
There are a number of changes to the scheme from this April, so please visit the website to find out more information which includes the criteria for a child to be eligible for a 2 year old funded place|.
Please be aware that 2 year funding is not available to all children and each family must make an expression of interest via a practitioner, such as their health visitor.
