A Toy Library is a community resource for play, which may include equipment, toys for loan, dedicated space and skilled staff - some of whom may be volunteers.

Some Toy Libraries have stay and play sessions, which allow parents/carers and their children the opportunity to explore new toys and equipment in a stimulating and safe environment.

All Toy Libraries welcome children who may have additional or special needs. There are some Toy Libraries that offer specialised equipment to support this.

They are found in many areas:Image of child playing
