Stafford Children's Centre, 'where families matter most', exists for one purpose, which is to improve the outcomes for young children by helping and supporting families in and around the local community.
The multi-million pound, purpose-built building was created to house a range of essential childcare, early education, child health, family support, family learning and employment services with the aim of making it convenient for families to access the services they need, when they need them. We provide services on site, in different community locations as well as in the homes of families. The Child Development Centre for children, who may have additional needs, is also located here.

Unannounced Ofsted Inspection
I am thrilled to let you know that Stafford Children's Centre was inspected on the 26th March 2012 by two inspectors during the course of one day.
The judgements made were that the centre is outstanding in all areas, contained in the Early Years evaluation schedule.
The inspectors were extremely impressed with the Centre and said that:

The setting is a wonderful, lively and vibrant place for children where they are well cared for, valued and made to feel special.

Children are making outstanding progress in all areas of learning and development. Behaviour is exemplary and is supported through clear and concise behaviour management strategies.

Staff members are innovative in capturing children's attention and curiosity.

Equality of opportunity is at the heart of everything that the setting does, and all children are integrated and included in activities.
