Stafford Children's Centre is the base for the Child Development Centre (CDC) which comprises a multi-disciplinary health team including specialist health visitors, specialist nursery nurses, consultant community paediatricians and occupational therapists. Physiotherapists, speech and language therapists and a dietician also form part of this team.
The Centre is also used to provide clinics for visiting audiologists, orthoptists, portage workers (portage is a home based teaching service) and community nurses from the learning disability team.
The aim of the Child Development Centre is to assess and provide care for children with development delay aged 0-16 years old.
